How to transfer credit card points to EVA Air Infinity MileageLands

Last updated October 30, 2026 · By Kyle Burrows

Infinity MileageLands is the program of EVA Air, based in Taiwan. It's a strong way to fly EVA business class across the Pacific. EVA's website only books simple round trips, though, so many awards go through EVA's customer service center.

Two of the big US card programs transfer to EVA.

Which bank points transfer to EVA Air

Bank pointsRatioHow long it takes
Citi ThankYou1:1 on some cards, 1,000 to 700 on others (see below)Not always instant. It can take several days.
Capital One Miles1,000 to 750Usually within a day

Citi cards. The Citi Strata Premier, Strata Elite, Prestige and AT&T Access More transfer at 1:1. Most other Citi cards get 1,000 to 700.

Capital One. EVA's page says Capital One transfers go in multiples of 100 miles, with a 1,000-mile minimum.

Amex, Chase, Bilt, Wells Fargo and Rove don't transfer to EVA.

Banks sometimes run transfer bonuses to EVA. Check the transfer screen on the day you move points.

Before you move any points

  • Open a free Infinity MileageLands account at evaair.com if you don't have one.
  • Make the names match on your bank account, EVA account and passport.
  • Check how your trip has to be booked. EVA's website only books round trips on EVA or UNI Air from and back to the same city, with no stopover. Everything else goes through EVA's customer service center.
  • Find the flight first. Confirm the seats before you transfer. Transfers can't be undone.

How to transfer from each bank

Citi. Sign in at thankyou.com, find Points Transfer, and choose EVA Air Infinity MileageLands. Transfers start at 1,000 points. The Strata Premier, Strata Elite, Prestige and AT&T Access More get 1:1; most other Citi cards get 1,000 to 700. If you have a full-ratio card and other Citi cards, combine your points in one ThankYou account first so they move at 1:1.

Capital One. Sign in, open your rewards, and choose the option to transfer your miles, then EVA Air. Your Capital One name has to match the EVA account. The minimum is 1,000 miles.

Check that the miles arrived

Log in at evaair.com and check the mileage balance in your Infinity MileageLands account. If nothing shows after the usual time, check your bank's transfer history for the number and name you used. Don't send a second transfer.

How to book the award

Online (simple EVA round trips):

  1. Sign in to Infinity MileageLands at evaair.com.
  2. Choose the award ticket (redeem miles) option.
  3. Enter your airports, dates, cabin and travelers, and search.
  4. Pick your flights in both directions and check the cabin.
  5. Enter each traveler's name, date of birth and gender exactly as on their passport.
  6. Pay the taxes, fees and surcharges by card, and save the booking code.

By phone (everything else): Star Alliance partner awards, stopovers and one-ways that don't fit the online rules go through EVA's customer service center. The number is on evaair.com. Have the exact flights and dates ready.

The award ticket has to be issued while your miles are still valid.

The fees to know

  • Booking service charge and surcharges: EVA adds these on top of government taxes. They show before you pay.
  • Changes and refunds: see below.

Changes and cancellations

  • Date and flight changes are free. Route changes cost $50 for members without status.
  • Refunds are free online. Refunds made through customer service cost $50 for members without status.
  • Award tickets are valid for one year from issue.

Do EVA miles expire?

Yes. EVA miles are valid for 36 months from when you earned them (for a transfer, when the miles posted), then they expire. New activity doesn't extend older miles.

Mistakes I see most

  • Transferring before checking whether your trip can be booked online or needs a call.
  • Expecting Citi points to arrive instantly. Allow a few days.
  • Transferring from a no-fee Citi card at 1,000 to 700 when you also hold a full-ratio card.
  • Letting miles sit. They expire after 36 months no matter what.
